A Toronto woman was shocked enough to alert the local media a few weeks ago when her daughter discovered that a tag on her new sofa described its color as “nigger brown.” The blame game traveled from the Canadian furniture store all the way to China, where the sofa was produced. The problem lay in the Chinese-English translation software used to print out the tags.
