I cannot believe that people criticize the Innocence Project for taking away their false sense of closure. Are you fing kidding me?! They would rather steal some innocent person’s life and sleep sound at night. Meanwhile, the guilty party is running free. It’s heartbreaking to me. I identified someone who had threatened me from photos. At the time that this happened, I was concerned with getting away, not getting an accurate sense of what he looked like. If I didn’t know where he worked, I could have gotten an innocent person in trouble. He was short, fat and ugly. That’s really what my ID was based on and I (think I) identified the right person.
