For a moment, I’m removing myself from my cynical, twenty-something-year-old body and trying to channel a 17-year-old girl picking out her very own, cubic-zirconia-encrusted, Creole-inspired House of Dereon class ring. Am excited? I am feeling like I’m at one with Beyonce, my teen idol? My teenager-channeling skills might be off, but I’m feeling like I just want a normal-looking class ring. Back to the drawing board, Tina?

Just out of curiosity, did Beyonce graduate? And its nice to see Solange get some face time even if it is as third fiddle to a damn ugly class ring?

yappay, no, she did not.

Can the state sue them for making the fleur de lis so tacky?

I’m back, dammit! Damned work email filters!!!

Beyonce graduated from the the High School for Performing and Visual arts here in Houston. Thankfully she didn’t design their class ring….LOL!!!

She didn’t graduate.

“As a teenager, Knowles attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, where she showed her musical talents. She later went to Alief Elsik High School, in the Alief neighborhood of Houston.”

I don’t think she graduated. Surely there would be pics of her in her cap and gown circulating on her fansites by now. She probably got her G.E.D. like Paris Hilton because Destiny’s Child hit it big when she was 16.

With all the fake bling kids are wearing now a days, this will fit right it.

Stop Hating, but without haters people would stop trying to do better…………..So keep up the hate…

No. 11 Jamocha says:

Sadly no one is hating. Kids do wear a lot of fake chains, but not fake engagement rings. And if they do want fake rings with bling they can get a better one from a gum ball machine. This ring is hideous.

I don’t know why Beyonce fans think there are so many haters. Tastes differ. We’re not all going to like the same people. I like some Beyonce songs, but her clothing and entertainment style don’t match mine so of course I’m not going to be licking her a– like some others. My only strong distaste is for Creed, Evanesence and Nickel Back. I have listened to everything else quite literally (vH1 and MTV Insomniac). All that superfan energy is saved for leaders (Bill Clinton) and journalists (Anderson Cooper).

I buy mostly machine wash but I have Dryel for my J Crew stuff. I can’t say I blame her though. Pre-Dryel, I too might have sprayed some febreeze on it and hang it up. Nasty, but just saying…

im a junior and im ordering this ring. i like it. its differnt. regular class rings are not to appealing. most kids are not going to wear their classrings for more than two months but i feel this is a ring that you would always wear because of the style. thatz how i feel. i was glad when she put out this ring because i didnt want a dinky class ring that everyone and their mamas mama had before me wit a differnt year on it. of coure this is her first ring so most likely she will come out with an even better ring next year.

I’m also a junior. I think these rings are
gorgeous. Most of my teachers feel the same way.
I love that it is the fleur de lys. I take French,
and I fell in love with the beauty of the symbol,
and with diamonds its even better. I am definitely
getting this ring as my class ring. It’s different, not like the same ol’ same ol’ rings that everyone else is getting. Many of my classmates say, “It’s okay, but it doesn’t look like a class ring.” Why would someone want a ring that looks just like their neighbors? I see the beauty of this ring, and judging by the other comments, I really don’t see how yall cannot. It’s weird that I see so many negative comments, because this ring is gorgeous. Some students at my school like the ring, some don’t. I rather they didn’t, because I want to be the only one sporting this one.
