
Kanye West, with his fiancee Alexis Phifer, celebrated two of his favorite things yesterday in Los Angeles — Louis Vuitton, which inspired his nickname, and Murakami, who designed his Graduation cover art. He and a bunch of other fashion-philes attended the Louis Vuitton sponsored gala for the new Murakami exhibit. More after the jump.

People have been eagerly anticipating Jay-Z’s return to radio since, well, a few days ago, when the “I Get Money (remix)” dropped. So not that long, I guess. At yesterday’s Concert for Diana, a tribute concert for the dead princess organized by her sons in London, Kanye West let loose with the profanities while all of the other performers, including Fergie, Diddy, and Pharrell Williams, decided to clean up their acts based on the occasion. Go figure. Also, I see that the 80s shades from Kanye’s “Stronger” video will be making regular appearances. Go figure. More pics from the concert after the jump.

He may be obnoxious, but he is defintely loved. Kanye West’s 30th birthday party at the Louis Vuitton store (of course)* in NYC last night was star-studded. From Jay-Z to Mariah Carey to Fran Drescher (really, Kanye? The Nanny?), the celeb contingent showed love. Kanye, bedecked in an odd tuxedo/jean combo, loved the attention, if the pictures are any indication. Do we think that having officially been on this planet for 30 years, Kanye will finally learn the value of humility?
