R. Kelly lives in a dream world, where he bides his time concocting fanciful rhyming skits about a group of interconnected, dysfunctional people and schedules tours to begin a month after a trial that is supposed to last four weeks. A trial that, in the real world, could conceivably end in a conviction. Not in R. Kelly’s world though.
Keyshia Cole let it slip to MTV that she’s planning to go on tour with R. Kelly in October, even though it will be kind of hard for him to make all of those appearances if he’s awaiting sentencing on child pornography charges.
Then there’s the issue of whether Kelly would be a free man. For the past five years, when Kelly wanted to tour outside the Chicago jurisdiction, he had to ask the court for permission — in the form of a letter to the prosecutor’s office — to give it time to object (which it often did). This time, however, the state attorney’s office told MTV News that Kelly has not yet sought permission to tour this October. Granted, should the trial be over by then, Kelly would have no need to seek such permission — he’ll either be free to come and go as he pleases, or he’ll be awaiting sentencing.
Who am I kidding? The Chicago state’s attorney’s office has proven many times that they are willing to let R. Kelly do as he pleases. I’m just curious to see what how many tickets a convicted child pornographer sells. If I were to hazard a guess based on what I know about his fans, I would say probably the same amount an accused child pornographer sells.

I saw that interview with Keyshia on MTV2. No dates have been set so at this point it’s just talk. If he’s making videos and records what’s going on tour?
I know you shouldn’t judge people until they are actually proven guilty, but there is no f-ing way I would ever support an artist who probably is guilty of the crimes he’s accused of.
