It’s sort of unbelievable, but someone is actually ! A Detroit reverend said that the woman dragging Star’s name through the mud over her alleged failure to fulfill her obligations to a non-profit is out of her mind.
“Star is the victim here,” says the Rev. Horace Sheffield, who claims his own nonprofit, the Detroit Association of Black Organizations, was duped by the woman making accusations against Jones. Last week, Jones was portrayed on Detroit’s WXYZ-TV as a diva who reneged on a deal to make a Super Bowl weekend “empowerment” speech to a nonprofit that helps overweight girls. But as Page Six reported, public records show the charity’s director, Sharon DuMas-Pugh, has a history of financial troubles, including bankruptcy and failure to file tax returns.
I said it before, but the girls at Full and Fabulous were surely better off without Star’s form of “empowerment.”
As I said, Star is not stupid. She’s a lot of things, but she wouldn’t do this. Don’t buy this mess.

just because the director has some “issues” doesnt mean that star didnt do what she’s accused of! they BOTH may be some crooks! lol!!
Star Jones is not a crook. Shady maybe. I don’t like her but I don’t believe she’d do this. She’s no dummy. I’m sure there’s far more to this story if the Rev leaked that bit of info.

The only reason ppl think Star’s shady or whatever is b/c she didn’t disclose the details of her bypass immediately and she hustled the “system” so some of her wedding stuff was discounted. As a champion bargain diva, I love the hell outta that concept.That weight loss stuff was private and I respect that. I respect her even more for calling Barbara Walters out. I didn’t like Ms. Walters even as a child (watching her specials with my mom) and moreso now that she’s so out of touch (her affection for Monica Lewinsky, etc.).
As far as this new thing is concerned, if you don’t follow the terms of a contract you won’t get what you want. This woman is full of it and should’ve met the terms of the contract. Then, there wouldn’t be a need to go on all the tabloid shows trying to get attention for her organization by lying. JMO
