Quote of the Week
Foxy Brown on her year-long jail sentence:
“This is just a temporary situation.” says Foxy. “I made my bed and have no problem lying in it. My will is steady. What doesn’t kill me will only make me stronger. I think there are greater injustices in America that require our immediate attention, like what’s going on in Jena, Louisiana. I will not surrender, I’m fine, free Jena Six!”
I’m not mad at her for saying that. She may not have realized that she was mildly equating her situation (which she caused and got out away with for far too long)but at least she had the presence of mind to show some humility.
When I first read this I interpreted it as a statement of humility and deference. But I can now see how it comes across as otherwise. Namely her believing she has suffered a miscarriage of system justice as the Jena 6 has.
Foxy, you got what you deserved and it could of (some would say should have) been worse.Get it the eff together girl. Sigh.
Yes, yes, great quote. Good job for thinking about someone else or at least pretending to, but riddle me this: why do you prefer to wear such cheap weaves, my sweet? I mean, seriously.
“What doesn’t kill me will only make me stronger”
Someone must have slipped her the Kanye CD in Rikers. But seriously, that quote about the Jena 6 was the smartest thing I’ve ever heard her say.
Wow. I’m impressed.
I’m impressed, too, with her publicist. Foxy is the same person who faked a pregnancy, remember? I really, really doubt she went from that to caring about the Jena 6 overnight. Me thinks it was her publicist/manager/whoever who either came up with this quote in total or told her to start making herself look better.
I’ll be impressed when she gets out of jail and begins selling bean pies.
Conviction thrown out: Michael Bell.
I’m impressed with that!
or Mychal as his momma calls him. LOL.
