$100 Bucks Say His Ratings Continue To Climb

Why does Bill O’Reilly make me so mad when I know good and well he’s a full-of-shit, sad, perverted, uninformed little man? I guess it’s because I know that people out there listen to him and listen to him good, and they believe every stupid word that comes out of his mouth. That’s why I kind of love that Jay Smooth has taken the time to make him look stupid for trying to boycott Nas (with a hard A).

Bill O’Reilly’s audience = racist white trash. I can see why Nas shouldn’t silently bow out of the Va Tech concert, but a boycott is totally unnecessary. Why is this an issue for a “news” station to tackle? Slow news week? Oh, there’s that little Iraq issue, all sorts of violence, poverty, $1 B spent in NOLA for basically nada. There’s no shortage of things that fall under the category of news for them to cover.

I can occasionally watch Lou Dobbs and chuckle because it seems like a parody. Those klan members are hilarious. Except O’Reilly.

It helps if you just ignore him and Fox News. I haven’t watched Fox News since 9/11. Seriously.

Wow… I’m no Bill O’Reilly fan by a long shot. I think he’s ignorant and purposely antagonistic. But to make sweeping generalizations, and boldly denigrating remarks, about his audience is exactly what “we” accuse him of all the time. Just as one song does not define a rapper, one rapper does not define hip hop, and hip hop does not define Black America, neither does Bill O’Reilly define all conservatives. I just wish we were as careful with our own words as we expect others to be with theirs.

By the way, that video was dead on!! Excellent job!

I don’t mind Lou Dobbs so much, but I used to date a nice Mexican boy who thought Lou was the anti-Christ.

Oh, I had the wonderful opportunity to work at a summer camp several years ago and a select group of campers watched his show religiously. They loved it as their parents watched it. There’s nothing that annoys me more than spewing racist rhetoric and propaganda veiled as patriotism. If you’ve seen the show, you have to wonder what kind of a person would watch something so obviously hate-filled. Kinda like Imus or Dobbs. No one who doesn’t believe in that hate would sit there and listen to it.

By white trash, I don’t mean people in their trailers. It has nothing to do with income. Paris Hilton is the poster child for white trash and she’s loaded.

blackmistressdiva, the fact that he has able to have a successful show makes me a little sad. But watching him is like watching The Colbert Report. It’s amazing to me that you can pretend to care about the middle class by attacking Mexicans, Indians and Chinese people who are supposedly f-ing up the country and warring against the middle class. Well, boo, if Americans didn’t like everything dirt cheap and we were willing to get paid $2/hour to pick fruit in 100 degree weather, we wouldn’t need others to contribute to the sustenance of our nation of immigrants.

I’m not saying Dobbs is always right, but I come from a city where blacks and latinos are at war (literally killing each other) so, while I have absolutely no hate towards my brown skinned brothers and sisters, I do see things a little differently. I was able to happily co-exist with my ex, political beliefs and all, for 3 years. I find Dobbs funny, too, but Lordy do Latinos hate that man!!! It’s almost comical…so yea, your likening it to the Colbert Report is pretty spot on.

I live in New England, home of de facto segregation. The only Mexicans I know are from college to be honest. There are a lot of S. Americans here, many of whom are illegal immigrants, but no one seems to be making a fuss. Oh, yeah, no one is getting uppity about all the illegal immigration from Western Europe, Canada, China, etc. I can’t find the stats but I remember hearing that the number from China is comparable to those from Mexico.

I’ve noticed that when those people get going, they won’t allow others to talk. They just shout over top of them. Although I felt like Dame and Cam were straight ignorant on the show and probably added fuel to his fire, that was probably one of my favorite clips of 05. I watched that thing at least 30 times a day. Just b/c Bill lost control of the situation and couldn’t keep his cool while Cam and Dame mocked him.

But back to the main point…Nas is not those gangsta rappers. Sure he rhymes about guns and hos occasionally. Just like Billy sexually harasses women occasionally.

What bmd said.

Really though, I watch thinking to myself “wow, I didn’t know people could say that.” Except Lou Dobbs isn’t doing a parody of Fox News. If you watch Colbert regularly as I used to, you will find that except for the laughter and hilarious captions, it has a striking resemblance to Fox News in the evening. Which I would know because I was forced to watch that mess for a whole summer.

He IS making fun of Fox News. The lead in with with the eagle, Stephen waving the flag…all of that is supposed to be mocking Fox. The talking points for his “word of the day” all of that is FOX lunacy. He is pretty funny. I love how he asks anyone associated with Hollywood, “why do you hate the troops?”
