Kanye West managed to drop the dreaded f-bomb (learning nothing from Isaiah, obviously), a word he has denounced in the past, and credit his success to his “feminine” ways all in one statement. Characteristically, it makes little sense.
“It’s like what if your drawbacks ended up being your superpower? I’ve always had an issue with masculinity. I’m like, ‘I hope this person isn’t looking at me like I’m a faggot ’cause I have some feminine ways.’ Maybe I’m not the guy who kicks off (a fight) in a club. Now I’m a 30-year-old, I’ve accepted that.
“Because of that I’ve ended up having the No.1 album.”
This quote is just kind of floating with no context, so I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say maybe it’s a misquote. But that whole “superpower” line has Kanye written all over it, doesn’t it?

ugh. that’s all i have to say.
I am more offended by the size of his dome in the picture.
Wow, and hasn’t the gay community taken him under their wing because he has spoken against anti-gay attacks?
I know they’re probably thinking, “I hope 50 wins the record sale contest now”
It’s like the word “nigga” to gays. My gay friends use the word “fag” amongst themselves all the time, but no one else can. LOL. I have a pass, too, I can say “dyke” and “lesbo” and any number of offensive terms for lesbians around my lesbian friends now. I’ve been accepted. LOL. Maybe Kanye is accepted, too? We’ll see.
I use the word “fag” with my gay friends who use it a lot, but I’m not going to say it in front of anyone else.
No, “The Gays” are not going to be rooting for 50 now. Hmmmm. “You that faggot ass nigga trying to pull me back right?” –In Da Club
I avoid his music like the plague so I’m sure there’s more. Kanye’s used it before in a “don’t say faggot” sorta way. Don’t think he’s being hateful. Just not thinking.
And btw, as even some of my more educated black female friends think that any man who takes care of himself is on the DL, I understand what he’s talking about. Not so coincidentally, these are the same women who bitch and moan about not being able to find a “good black man.” It was a struggle getting my brother into fashion but so worth it.
