Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is in a whole heap of trouble either for allowing a dog fighting ring to be operated from his Virginia house or being directly involved in said ring. Either way, a yard full of buried pit bull carcasses is not a good look for a NFL player now that the league has tightened its personal conduct policy. Actually, murdering a bunch of dogs is not a good look for a human being, period.
The 19-page indictment alleged Vick was highly involved in the operation, alleging that he attended fights and paid off bets when his dogs lost. It said he also was involved in the executions of dogs that did not perform well.
If convicted, Vick could face a total of up to six years in prison and $350,000 in fines. He could face additional discipline by the NFL, even if he is not convicted.
I know there are worse crimes, but, to me, animal cruelty on a wide scale like this is disgusting, and I won’t be sad if he goes to jail for it.

What a jerk. I hate humnan beings that do cruel things against animals.
you are right. this is disgusting. something is seriously wrong with a person who executes animals. seriously wrong. he needs to serve jail time and he needs a serious mental evaluation. people with a blatant disregard for animal life are only a short step away from thinking it’s okay to harm humans, as well.
If this stuff is true, and it looks like it might be, his career is over. PETA, the SPCA, et al will lynch his ass and any sports organization associated with employing him. And, I’ll be there tying the knot. Very sick people harm animals in the manner it is said that he and his buddies did. It is no different than harming a child. However I am all for due process and I want him to have his right to prove his innocence.
I wonder if they have animal cruelty rehab?
Anyway, I hope he goes to jail for a long time for doing something so cruel and stupid. Plus, I’m a Carolina Panthers fan and Vick going to jail will elimnate our biggest competition.
I think that when he does not play well, they should bash his head in or electrocute him, like he did to those poor dogs when they did not win their fight.
I have lost all respect for Mike Vick and the Falcons for keeping him in the game.
I HATE animal abusers…..
i hate to get outraged without knowing the facts. i just read several articles concerning this story and according to an article on The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s website 54 dog carcasses were found on his property! there can be no good or reasonable excuse for this. he is beyond sick and i hope he gets the help he needs.
Looks like federal prison might have a herpes outbreak.
