After watching the trailer for The Great Debaters, I have come to the conclusion that the film is one of those uplifting historical dramas that wrench tears from my eyes despite my best efforts to keep it together. Even this clip made me blink back a few. So obviously, I’ll be in the theater to see this Denzel-directed, Oprah-produced movie as soon as it comes out.

Also, it’s crazy how little Jurnee Smollet is all grown up now, right?

Definite tearjerker…

Good cast with a powerful message. Better than ‘Hustle and Flow’ any day.

Good to see Jurnee Smollett (I have no clue to as to how to spell her name so I’m guessing) in a new movie!

Looks great! And Smollet has grown up to be a beautiful young woman. I will definitely be going to see this.

Can’t wait to watch it. Finally a “blk flick” that actually looks like a real movie (not like the Tyler Perry films… plays on the big screen).
