In a very well thought out statement, Kelly Rowland recently described her new video in this way. I can’t blame her for struggling over her words, because, frankly, I am speechless.

I think Kelly hit the nail on the head when she described it as “…gosh.”

I wasted a half hour or so of my life watching the making of this on BET. I feel so bad for Kelly. She has a beautiful voice, is a better dancer than B, and has a huge potential market from her DC success. It’s sad to see her inevitable flop as it happens. Does she not have the personality to be a star in her own right, is Matthew Knowles engineering her mediocrity, or is she just not ambitious at all?

I have to disagree a lil’ bit. I have seen Bey and DC in concert a total of 5x (sad, I know) and the best pure SINGER is Michelle. The best DANCER is Bey. I don’t know why ppl love Kelly. Kelly is a back up singer. I know y’all love her, but she is. You can’t make a backup singer a star - I’m sorry. You can say what you want about B, but ppl find her entertaining. Kelly is 2nd tier. And when she makes ish like this and has appearances like she did on the BET awards she’ll never blow up. If her CD was bangin’ then ppl would be bumping it at the clubs and in their cars, but they don’t b/c her CD was wack-ish. LOL.

BlackMistressDiva–I agree. Michelle sang her face off in The Color Purple here in Chi-city! I had no idea of her skills since they never gave her much shine in DC. I love Kelly’s personality and wish she could bring it to her performances because they are painful to watch. This song isn’t completely AWFUL, though I am tired of Snoop’s misogynistic, weeded-out behind. Am I the only one who wishes she would act? She impressed me on Girlfriends a few seasons back and the movie with Duane Martin was cool–better than my girl Bey’s work so far. Love B but the acting needs to stop, kinda like J.Lo’s singing. JMO

I love the way Kelly Rowland looks, but I couldn’t get past the first 20 seconds of this song…Snoop’s flow is so repetitive (hasn’t changed in 15 years) and I have enough Kelly Rowland pics without having to watch the entire video.
