Oh, Nas. First he threatens to bite Bill O’Reilly’s nose off and now this? I’m starting to believe he doesn’t care what other people think!

On Friday night at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, Nas announced the title of his next album: He said it will be called Nigga and released in December. A source close to the project confirmed the name on Saturday.

Nas has said he’d planned to use that title for his last LP before he changed it to Hip-Hop Is Dead.

When the album comes out, Al Sharpton should round up the NAACP, buy a whole bunch of discs and bury them in a coffin. That’ll get rid of the word once and for all!

I’ve supported Nas throughout his entire rap existence and I am probaly one of his biggest stans. This upsets me deeply. Regardless of what his reasoning behind this it is completely wrong. Point blank period. I lost alot of respect for him on this one, if not all.

Oh God. This album must suck b/c why else would you create drama that is surely going to overshadow the music? I really, really don’t want to have to hear every wingnut and neocon talk about the word nigga when all I want to do is sing Christmas carols.

Yea, that’s why the last album was named “Hip Hop is Dead…the N.” I forget what his reasoning for naming the album was. I am also a Nas stan and I’m not happy about this one. Imagine the media…Bill O’Reilly just got hard.

I’m reserving judgment until I see the lyrics. I seriously doubt that this is the crap we’re expecting to get. I’ll wait until I hear the lyrics. I like Nas too much to believe that he’d add on to the coonery.

I don’t care what the lyrics are, or the point he may be trying to make, because it will go over the heads of 99% of his target audience. Naming your album “Nigga” is just begging for attention of the worst kind.

I figured this was kinda like that Damon Wayans thing with the “N####” line of clothing…But that turned out to be a publicity stunt…I think. Hopefully, Nas was just high when he came up with that…

It is pretty sad that Nas hates himself this much to title his next cd this evil word. I will not buy it. Maybe he’ll see that it’s self defeating and self hate that is causing him to do such a stupid thing. What a weak little boy. May God bless him and help him to open his eyes to see what’s really going on in our world as black people.

solitaire, agreed!

honee,
Or Kelis could name it ‘Bitch’ then they could debut their albums on the same day and put both albums next to each other so the titles would read ‘Nigga Bitch’.
