Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has officially resigned. Apparently he’s tired of everyone on either end of the political spectrum hating his guts over that so-called “overblown personnel matter” involving the firing of several U.S. Attorneys. In his place, Bush is expected to nominate Homeland Security head Michael Chertoff, possibly because Bush thinks he’s done such a good job in his current post.

Anything & everything that Bush is a part of turns to shit. I wonder why?
President Bush will have to get back to you. He’s currently on vacation. Can he pencil you in for say, January 21, 2009?
I can’t figure out if these people truly believe what they tell themselves. They’ve been lying to the world for so long that they are starting to believe it. I.e. Gonzales’ name being dragged through the mud, the inexplicable defiance from the Democrats (and some Republicans) to Rove’s crazy positions
Daria, you know, I wonder this, too. They’re not dumb people, so do they really believe the crap they spew, or are they just so contempuous of the rest of us they truly believe we all believe it?
