Adding Racism As a Facebook Friend

facebook.jpg
• We all knew it would happen — Facebook is getting ugly. []

• A new all-purpose political site, Black Politics on the Web, could not have come at a better time. [PR

• An intense crime wave continues to plague New Orleans, with armed robbers targeting Hispanic day laborers who are paid in cash. []

• The blacks love (or love to hate) Obama, the women love Hillary, but who do the gays love? If Obama’s gay-centric Myspace page is any indication, he’s not doing so bad. [QT]

Shit, I go on Facebook like once every 4 months.

IMO, Facebook should have just kept the site restricted to solely being a “college student networking site” (you had to have a valid college e-mail address in order to setup an account).

In trying to compete with MySpace, they opened the site up to practically anyone. Since then I’ve not been too happy with Facebook.

Louisiana really needs help. They are in a social state of emergency.

Really? I haven’t watched AC360 for 2 weeks (no cable and no neighbors with cable) so I have no clue what’s going on in NOLA.

Black politics on the web looks interesting. Another website to ad to “My Liberal Bias” links!

I say prayers for my home away from home, New Orleans. And I say prayers for my family all over the Boot state as they try to rebuild and repair and just lives their lives. Damn that Katrina, damn that shitty government and damn the ni**as who are causing the violence and pain. :-(

It’s hurricane season people. This mess could happen again and FEMA-authorities-govt would probably be even less prepared than they were in 05. It goes to show you that you should move to a resource-rich city or one with high visibility (lots of national news media) because otherwise, no one cares. Unless you’re rich AND white. Nothing moves hearts than seeing the elite in need (rich white Americans and Europeans on vacation suffering a la tsunami). Funny, huh?

At this point the government doesn’t want us to see white folks in need either. I can’t help but believe that more people died on that bridge in Minneapolis. That more cars got thrown into that river. I mean, aren’t they STILL finding remains? Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, but the last thing the government needed was this headline: 500 die in bridge collapse.

So they’ll continue to pull a body a day out of that friggin river until the end of time (or until we all forget).
