I know I must be in the minority here, because she’s such a huge star, and “Umbrella” is an international #1 hit, but I think Rihanna has a really weird voice. I don’t mean that in a good way. Also, her face remains oddly expressionless when she sings. Nevertheless, there is something undeniably fabulous about her, which is why I’m posting her new video for “Shut Up & Drive.” Tell me what you think.
her voice is weird b/c she can’t sing. that’s actually a computer you’re hearing. her face is bland because she’s not singing, she’s just equally bad at fake singing as she is at ‘real’ singing. Have you heard the girl live? She rivals Britney in suck.
Also, most of her fans aren’t looking at her face so who cares if it’s expresionless, just stare at her bum.
That said, the song is kinda catchy.
the combination of her forehead and that wig is horrendous.
I agree w/ Judi. Her “singing” voice is computer generated, and her accent doesn’t help the issue.
Just wanted to add that she looks very indifferent to the whole thing….the song, the video. Maybe that’s why she has no expressions? It’s like they decided to use dress rehersal footage instead.
There IS something about her, but it’s not her face, certainly not her voice, something though…
Although I love to see beautiful female forms like hers and although I understand that we are in an age were record sales are all but non-exsistent, it still amazes me that you can get a singing career based strictly on your appearance.
Now Chrisette Michelle, that’s a woman with a beautiful singing voice!
Rihanna’s not attractive in the least bit. Heffa is ugly. I sort of like her songs…in moderation. The only song of hers that makes me want to commit csuicide is that ‘Umbrella’ song.
Rihanna is faboulous and she is gorgoeus. I dont understand what everyone’s definition of “ugly” is, but when I think of “ugly” I think of utterly unattractive and she not it. Honestly, her voice is odd, but I like it, and I’ve seen and heard her live and she sounds better. I dont know maybe its a young, or excuse me 18 to early 20-something-year-old thing to actually appreciate a Rihanna over other oversexed, young black artists. Sounds like hating to me.
