Kim Porter says she left Diddy because she just had a vague sense of unhappiness that she’s unable to articulate. I hate to put words in the woman’s mouth, but I’m going to give this a shot. He’s an incorrigible cheater and had a baby with another woman while you were pregnant with his twin girls. That should pretty much cover it, right?
Porter expresses regret that she didn’t first hear about the other child directly from Combs (who declined to speak to Essence for the article and did not return calls from PEOPLE for comment). “I would have preferred to find out from him because that’s a man,” she says. “I know it’s hard for anyone to say to their significant other, ‘I’ve gotten into some s— and I got a baby on the way.’ But men do get caught up in things; I’m not naive to that. Still, there’s a right and a wrong way to handle it. Because, most of all, we were friends. Even if I couldn’t have understood it as a woman, I would have understood it as a friend.”
In case you were wondering, the other woman in this sordid love triangle is an Atlanta resident Kim Porter’s known for years named Sarah Chapman. I wonder when we’ll get to see Diddy’s fifth bundle of joy — that we know of.

I have a special interest in this subject because I can relate. I am going through the same thing with someone with hood fame and if any reader knows in the hood someone with a name is treated like a celeberity by the local jump offs. These jump offs don’t know the “real” man inside they are just interested in the status. It’s not fair because we have geniune LOVE for these men. We have been thorugh all the ups and downs we consider them are best friends, our hearts, our “MAN”. We take of their children and home and we can’t get the respect that we deserve. It’s not fair and this just saddens me more because here you have a BEAUTIFUL brown skin woman with children that is so into this man and he couldn’t be man enough to at least strap up when messing with this homewrecker. Then again he couldn’t man up to tell him about HIS child; she had to hear else where. That sh*t HURTS. How can I look at a baby with your features and not wonder if you made love to that woman like you did me or if you supported and comforted her. WTF!! Although the logical thing would be to walk away but it is sooo hard until you really face the reality that you can’t wait for ever for these men to grow up because to keep it real 9 times out of 10 situations change not people. I feel for her and every other woman out there who has encountered a cheating man it takes something out of you. Again it’s not fair that’s why we as women have to learn and practice making GOD the first man in our lives and prayfully everything else will fall into place. If there is any chance that Kim is reading this please know you are not alone and a strong woman from The Burgh has love for you because in you I see me. Love Peace and Blessings.
boop, you should just know when you’ve given too much, cut your losses and bounce. You don’t want your kids growing up thinking this stuff is normal or acceptable cuz it’s not. You’re not only jeopardizing your mental wellbeing, but the stability of your children and your own physical health. AIDS is still alive and well. 25% of American adults have herpes and 50% of black American adults have it. You have to know when to leave. I grew up without a father but I’m grateful each day that my mother knew when to leave because his other kids weren’t so lucky and they aren’t doing so well.
boop1979 - I just want to say thank you for taking the time to write something from your heart. We’ve all held on too long sometimes - even when we knew that things would never change b/c we loved someone. I hope that your situation works out in your favor somehow.
