2008 can’t come fast enough. First we’re subjected to MC Rove and now this? The Republican party is simultaneously allowing the political pressure get to them and letting the spirit move them. It results in odd, thoroughly terrifying behavior.

In celebration of , our nation’s president decided to break out in a dance and drumming combo in the Rose Garden after only the slightest of prodding from one of his guests. In the words of Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America a few minutes ago, “It was as if he had been waiting his whole life for someone to ask.”

Compare Laura Bush’s polite reticence and G.W.’s enthusiastic, if a little shoulder-heavy, dance explosion. It’s proof that opposites attract.

Agreed. Love the blog.

I’d say Laura Bush looks very uncomfortable. But I like your diplomacy, Lauren, “polite reticence.” Snatched!
